LAKELAND, FL, UNITED STATES, September 9, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Mid-State Industrial Maintenance (“Mid-State”), a leading provider of industrial maintenance and field services, today announced that it has completed the acquisition of MIC Steel, Inc. (“MIC Steel”), an industrial services company based in McIntyre, Georgia.

Founded in 2007 and led by owner and Chief Executive Officer Tommy Youmans, MIC Steel primarily provides mechanical field services, supported by in-house steel fabrication capabilities. The company has built a strong presence in central Georgia through skilled execution, responsive service, and long-standing customer relationships.

The acquisition strengthens Mid-State’s field service presence in Georgia and adds a local base from which the combined team can support planned maintenance, project work, and time-sensitive customer needs across the Southeast. MIC Steel customers will also gain access to Mid-State’s broad range of self-perform capabilities, including mechanical, electrical and instrumentation services, fabrication, machining, engineering and environmental health and safety support. Mid-State customers will benefit from MIC Steel’s local workforce and field service expertise.

“MIC Steel has the characteristics we value in a partner: a skilled and committed workforce, durable customer relationships and a reputation built by doing the work right,” said Clay Savoy, Chief Executive Officer of Mid-State Industrial Maintenance. “Together, we can give customers stronger local field support, greater technical depth and the ability to take on broader scopes of work. We are excited to welcome the MIC Steel team and build on the legacy Tommy has created.”

Mid-State’s integration approach will focus on continuity for MIC Steel’s customers and employees while preserving the local responsiveness that has driven the company’s success. MIC Steel will gain access to Mid-State’s wider operational network and shared resources, including safety, recruiting, workforce development, procurement and business development support.

“MIC Steel has grown because our employees care about the quality of the work, and our customers know we will show up, follow through, and stand behind what we do,” said Tommy Youmans, owner and Chief Executive Officer of MIC Steel. “Mid-State shares those values and understands the demands of industrial field work. This partnership gives our team more resources and opportunities while preserving the relationships and accountability that made MIC Steel successful.”

The acquisition continues Mid-State’s strategy of partnering with well-run industrial businesses that have strong local leadership, trusted customer relationships, and complementary capabilities. The combination positions both companies to support customers with more resources, broader services and greater capacity across Georgia and the Southeast.
